COOL RAIN - Evaporative Roof Cooling System;

This product re-introduces some very old, very simple and sensible technology.  It uses the evaporation of water in order to negate the intense heat of the sun on the roof of a building during the summer time.  This is also the largest single source of heat infiltration into the building, typically in excess of 60 %.  The heat absorbed by the evaporation of one gallon of water at 120 * F (water temperature) is 8,538 BTU.  A 2,000 sq, ft. roof is capable of evaporating approximately 25 gallons of water in one hour.  This is equivalent to 12 tons of mechanical air conditioning power, being applied on the roof surface, both negating the heat of the sun and reducing the surface temperature below the ambient outdoor temperature, thus eliminating the heat before it has a chance to infiltrate into the building.  Insulation, no matter how thick, can only slow the progress of heat infiltration, and this method eliminates the heat before it has a chance to infiltrate.

The system runs a thin film of water over the roof surface, allowing it to cool the roof as it evaporates, in the same manner as your body cools itself by evaporating perspiration.  The system captures the excess water from the roof using the buildings gutter system (which can be installed at very low cost if you don't already have them), and uses a small pump to recirculate the water from the holding tank back onto the roof.

Bullpup Conversion Assemblies for Firearms;

These Products are currently under development, and we are hoping to get them into production at some point in the not too distant future.  The units have been designed as a high quality upgrade package, which serves to convert several commonly available commercial rifles and shotguns into the latest "state of the art" European military configuration, making them more suitable for law enforcement, and defensive use, or just a whole lot more fun to shoot.  The units bring the action of the firearm behind the firing grip providing a secondary trigger, with a solid mechanical linkage to the original, thereby reducing the overall length of the firearm to slightly over 26 inches / 67 cm., while maintaining the original barrel length and performance and accuracy.  Among some of the benefits offered by this configuration are the following:

• Greatly improved performance and handling characteristics, due to the short overall length and the fact that the firearms mass is concentrated further to the rear making bringing the units on target  far faster and easier than with a standard configuration.
• Advanced ergonomic design, and true instinctive pointing ability, due to the design of the firing grip and overall configuration.
• Eliminaton of  muzzle climb and vast reduction of felt recoil due to the straight line stock configuration.  The units recoil straight back and come right back on target ( we can actually keep a coke can in the air through the entire 8 round capacity of the magazine on the shotgun test model without it touching the ground for more than a split second a couple of times inbetween ).
• Equal to, or greater accuracy and consistency than with the firearms original configuration.  Sight mounting rails are clamped solidly to the barrel of the firearm and once zeroed there will be no change in the point of impact.  This system remains in place when the firearm is removed from the unit for cleaning so there will never be a loss of zero.  The standard Picatinny Arsenal rail is universal and will accommodate virtually any sighting system the user wishes to use.
• Multiple sling attachment points, enabling the use of conventional and tactical slings simultaneously.
• Easy magazine change / reloading, without having to remove the firearm from the shoulder.  Since the weight of the firearm is to the rear it can easily be supported by the firing hand and kept on target during the reloading process.
• Rapid secondary safety disengagement, without removing hand from the firing grip.

 

 
 




Note that these units have completed the product development stage, but are not yet in production.  We expect to begin working on the tooling for large quanity production of the units sometime in the next few months, and expect them to become available at some point during 2011.  We will be posting photos and full information on the production models as soon as they become available and we are ready to take orders for them.

Introducing the first "HANDS FREE" crutch technology for high leg amputees !

We developed this technology for my fiancee, who is a single HD leg amputee.  As with many others, prosthetics simply arent a practical option for her, and in view of the fact that she can hop as easily as any of us can walk and run circles around anyone with two legs on her forearm crutches and in a 4 inch heel, completely uneccessary as well, as all her prosthetic does is slow her down and hurt.  She did have one problem however, she's fascinated by the shop and eveything in it, and loves to be busy building and creating things.  She wanted something where she could stand comfortably and work for hours on end with her hands free, and  which would allow her to walk and carry thnigs as well.  This was the solution we came up with.  It far exceeded any of our expectations in terms of both comfort and stability and what she could do with it as well.  We don't expect to make alot of money on this project as the market is so limited, but the technology simply works too well not to make it available to people.  The system can be adapted to anyone with a hip disarticulation or high to mid length above knee amputation, which are precisely the people for whom prosthetics present difficilties and it offers a compact, practical and very cost effective solution in freeing up the hands for both working and recreation.
